'Creative painting is often the result of responding to obscure instincts which are not possible to identify or analyse.
Clues may be found in earlier work but may also arise from accumulating experiences and exposure to the creative processes of other painters. I am particularly interested in painters who suggest through their work that we share a similar world view, though we may express that view very differently.
My paintings do not carry any specific messages. For the most part they reach for a kind of equilibrium which raises awareness and quietens the mind.
